“Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous, it is Fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; Play skillfully, and shout for joy” (Psalm 33:1-3).
Worshiping God is always been the activity of heaven. It is an Expression of awe, gratefulness, love, freedom and joy for He is. For His love, grace, mercy, holiness, Beauty and everything of Him. And we can enjoy His presence in the worship.
We can worship our God in many ways. We can worship Him with music and songs, Dance or maybe with other talents.
As a worship team, we have the potential to bring people before God, and like doorkeepers, assist by standing at the door and welcoming people into God’s presence. Being a doorkeeper (i.e., a worship leader) is a significant position, and here’s why: worship opens people to God. It emboldens us to believe the truth that God really is as good as, and loves us as much as, we’d hoped. In this place of belief, we are able to put our trust back in God. We see reality (about ourselves, others and the world) through God’s eyes, and we more eagerly desire to be aligned with God’s heart, will and purposes.
